Has anyone got any pictures of the Paris showroom in the 1920's they can share?

Have copies from all the normal sources - GPB, Memoirs etc.

Thanks

SB

Hi,

Thanks for the tip. Tragically cannot find this book for sale. Does anyone have a copy and the willingness to look through for any pictures of the showroom?

Modelling of the showroom is coming on well. Found this site - http://www.champselysees.org//365visit/ - and from it created the picture below. And you know what made me happy??!!! The manhole cover and supports within the building are still there, so will help accuracy greatly as they are also on the pictures from early last century. Really must get out more!

Picture of model. If you think the textures look amateur and rubbish you would be correct. They are simple placing textures as the programme I use to make the surfaces is different to the one used to make the surfaces photo-realistic. I have not finished the surface modelling stage, so no decent rendering done.

Another bit if help needed if possible? On page 90 of Memoir's is a picture of a Tpye 35, late 1924 outside the showroom. Does anyone know who owns the original of the picture so I can get a better copy as I cannot make out the centre sections text.

Hello Christian,

On which page did you find the picture of the showroom?

Regards, Jeroen

Question for the French members of the forum.

I am going to Paris next month to photograph the area as it is now, gather more clues and take some measurements. It would be nice to get some copies of the original building plans. What dept in France/Paris would deal with something like that? In the UK it is the relevant planning department for a given region.

Also, being such a well known area there must be some kind of historical society, forum or museum that would have pictures from the early part of the century. Any ideas?

NB: All information I find will be donated to the Trust and to this website. If anyone wants electronic copies then no problem...I am good at sharing stuff/give and take...ask Johan and The Bugatti Trust!!!!

NBB: My wife can speak fluent French, so a PM'd phone number or website would be a good start.

Are there records somewhere, or with someone, that would list all of the Bugatti's sold (and to whom they were sold) through the Paris Showroom?

Mine was sold through the Paris Showroom in May 1927, and I would love to find out more information.
