Can anybody point me towards any photos from the ACF Grand Prix 1929 at Le Mans (won by Williams in a Bugatti T35)?

The particularity is that the event was run to fuel consumption rules in which the organisers provided cylindrical bolster tanks to be fitted to the competitors' cars, with a big gauge on top (presumeably readable by spectator!!).

I am particularly looking for pictures that show the tank and gauge.

Does anybody know what other events if any were run to the same rules? I would also be grateful for a source of pictures from other events.

Thanks in advance,

Robert

You did a search on the photo server already? (search for ACF or A.C.F. in both descriptions, titles and filenames.)

David Venables' "Bugatti - a racing history" includes another picture of Conelli's car. Best picture I know of showing the tank and meter is a static shot of Boillot's Peugeot, published in Posthumus' "Roaring Twenties".

The only other race run to these rules was the Spanish GP.
