I've heard the denials from Mr. Mullin and I've seen the press release. It goes something like this : "I did not buy 57374 but the guy who did wants to exhibit it in my museum.

It is my belief Peter Mullin bought the Atlantic - I'm a pessimist after all. But make no mistake, if he is not the new owner I will gladly mock myself on this very forum.

Kind Regards

I am afraid you wil have to do that whatever happens because of what you have said about Peter Mullin and forgetting to do your research first. I seem to remember another case not long ago. Something with a Dutch Museum owner.....

Have a look at the chrome strip running across the door ; in its original configuration the two-tone paint allowed for a clean and elegant break for the moulding just in front of the rear fender, leaving the chrome strip purely as design flourish. Peter Mullin removed this and replaced it with a predictable and boring chrome strip defining (to the death) a very subtle detail. My thoughts on his T46, Voisin and Delahaye are on record - Pebble Beach circa 1981, the lot of 'em.

I apologised to Evert Louwman because the information I received was simply wrong ; I was told he was preparing a law-suit over the provenance of his ex-Harrah T46 Coupe Semi-Profilee. This was not so and I apologised. For the time being my opinion of Peter Mullin's taste in automobiles and his philosophy on the preservation of said automobiles stands. Kindly note my criticism is purely directed at his car collection, I cannot offer an opinion on the man himself as I've never met him.

Kind Regards

I hereby formally apologise to Mr. Peter Mullin and to all readers offended by my views on his car collecting philosophy.

I have removed the offending material and left only the apology. I trust we can now put this matter to rest.

Oh my god Johan- your quasi political/ religious outburst seems to have stunned the whole forum into a kind of bewildered silence!
