 Post subject: Hollow front axles

I am trying to work out which Bugattis had the hollow front axle and which had the solid.I know grand prix cars and Royales did- Type 35a, 37 and 40 did not. Anyone know the state of affairs on 44, 57 etc?

T44 no,49 no,46 and 50 yes.some T57 yes.T59 yes.73/73a/73b/73c yes ! 251 yes.!! some T37's definately did,Robbie Jardines car has a hollow axle.It is perhaps one of the questions about which one should not be too categoric.

Type 5 in 1902 had a hollow front axle .
