The color of the Lauren 2.9 Alfa and the Simeone 2.9 are essentially identical. Both almost orange in appearance. The Simeone car was restored by David L George in Pennsylvania years ago and the color was matched to paint that had never seen the light of day until the car was disassembled by David.

Today I was at the Club Bugatti France stand at Retromobile and happened to start speaking with a French woman who, as it turns out is the grandaughter of Robert Benoist. When I asked her if she had any photos of her grandfather
she said "yes hundreds" along with all sorts of momentos from his racing days because her grandmother saved everything.
