what bugattis are in the longest ownership?
i think:
1: the t 13 in the prague technical museum. must be there from the early 2o`s
2: the T3o # 4512 of the scalia family, there from 1928
3) T49 from kurt kiefer, , bought new by kurt kiefer, should be in the family
4) T44 from the Scalia family, there from 1938 on

any others??

what I forgot, nothing to do with bugattis. the car in the longest one family is a 1893/94 benz victoria, which is in the same family since new, and only has a new hood and new rubber on the wheels.

I know of a T35 from 1939 with same owner since. (I had lunch with his last week) Last ran Dec 6th 1941 and put away in the barn the next day due to Pearl Harbor. A T37 was owned by someone I know very well and parked the same day after being run -- sold to above individual in 1964. (and both moved in 1964 to somewhere near myself today) Both suffered engine damage during the war due to frozen water. Bunny Phillips wasn't very helpful in getting parts post WWII -- but tried to buy many times. (I have his letters) One day in the future they will come out of the shipping container where they have been sitting since 1964. (w/ABC Registrar and other collectors present to view all original photographs / newspaper clippings / documentation / import paperwork / state license/registration, etc)

I know of other non-Bugatti's (European racecars) that came to the USA post-WWII via owners who were military officers at the time there and still retain ownership today after shipping back to the states. Surprisingly quite a few in fact. Remember a lot of these were worthless cars in the late 50's-70's era or difficult to get parts for -- thus got parked and put away.
