Bugatti first workshop of 1902 in Reichshoffen still exists. 2 weeks ago I visite the workshop, it is now on the site of Alstom. Not far away from de Dietrich castle. Nothing has changed on the building. The large entrance door where bugatti has photographed his cars is unchanged.

You have make pictures

to bad , I had no camera with me . But I have more meetings with Alstom , and next time I take a camera . I will put the Type 5 exact to the same place in front of the big wood door and take a picture like Bugatti did 108 years ago .

But please don't make a sepia coloured photograph otherwise we can't distinguish the replica from the original photograph.

Bugattis famous door is at the left . Behind this black and yellow railing . Today , inside is a school . It is the De Dietrich mechanic school .Years ago the school made some Type 4 replicas , but never finished it.Now we are talking to start again .
