OK, great.

As for the Gouel: There is hardly anything present that can be called an engine. The plan is to spice it up just a bit, to at least give it a nice appearance behind the mesh on the side of the bonnet. The bonnet does not open.

Worst thing is that the grille is slightly oversized, due to the plating it received. Only way to correct this, is to add some material to the bonnet, then sanding it flush with the grille.

The front of the grille is closed. Gouel calls for painting it black, then sticking mesh on. The plan is to open the grille, replicate the cooler, and perhaps source a better mesh.

OK, I guess most questions have been solved, and construction can start. Will post in another thread about that.

We seem to have posted at the same time, so you may have missed my post prior to this one. You might want to look at it.

My plan was to combine the Bburago body with a modified chassis/engine from the Franklin Mint Atalante. They have an identical wheelbase.

John Mellberg in the US did exactly that: Mating the Bburago body with the FM chassis. I plan to publish some pictures in the next issue of the Bugatti Revue.

could you remove excess plating by reverse plating in a small tank with electrolites ?

I guess you could, but you run the risk of removing the base material instead of the plating, depending on the materials used.

For the grille, they seemed to have used some sort of spray-plating, with the radiator resting on its back.

The 2 sharp points which are near the side hinges have acumulated droplets.
