I have been involved in the UK Bugatti scene for many a long year and you can take it from me that senior members of the BOC have also been involved in the misrepresentation of their cars when the time has come to sell them.

I am reliably informed that at the last VSCC Prescott meeting one of the competing Bugattis (which should have three out of five major components) in fact, had only one.

Another Brescia owner is very angry at this. He had a 2/5 type 13 and wanted to make it into a 3/5 car with an original rear axle from another car he owned with 4/5. The VSCC refused to allow him to do this and he sold the car in disgust.
