I do not believe this to be an unknown T50, registered OW 498 (GB). Look at that dynamo type thingy at the bottom of the radiator - would seem to indicate a T44 or T49 (photo of 49471 included as means of comparison). The length of the bonnet and the track also seem more like that of the smaller touring Bugatti.

I share this observation. But it is not a type 44, the wheels are those of a type 49

OW 498
The UK registration carried by a type 49 with engine L328 and siderails from car 49421 and 44922. Two-door tourer. Imported by H.F. Moffat and sold the same year to John Hallam, Leeds. Engine rebuild by Dutton. The car has featured in “Bugantics” B.59/1/21, B.60/3/27 and B.64/3/19.
