Marc , these pictures are gorgeous. The tap assembly is fitted exactly the way Molsheim did it. I could comment on one or two nuts and bolts but that is minor. The floorplate seems to be alloy and should steel. Very good car!

Great pictures, Mark. No comments on the car from my side. (lack of in-depth knowledge) but very nice to see your pictures.

I presume it is pretty dark in the museum? (grainy pictures due to high ISO settings on the camera). This is usually the case in many musea, and it makes taking pictures a nightmare.

Did they allow you to jump the fench, or did you just "do it". What is your experience with musea in that matter?

Curious to see the T57G pictures!

Strange lighting in the building -- thus the high ISO settings via the one digital camera. (I brought two) I normally have auxiliary lighting but left it in Seattle for this trip. My Nikon 35mm pics will be better, but will still be a few weeks out for developing and then scanning thereof.

I had prior permission via Fred to access whatever I wanted to within the museum. Due to time constraints, I accessed the BMW 328 (16K kilometers in stunning original condition!) and the Alfa 2.3/2.9's first. Thus I barely had time to look at the Bugatti's or open them up for detailed pictures. I was there for 5+hrs and unfortunately had a meeting in DC later in the evening which was 3hrs away.

I've dealt with some of the consumate enthusiasts / collectors in the world over the years. Fred is definitely within the top 3 in terms of passion and enthusiasm for what he collects. I'm sure I could have spent another two days there detailing the Bugatti's, Squire and the Cunningham racer -- and of course referencing his legendary research library. I definitely am appreciative of his incredible generosity and hospitality he extended.

If anyone is in the Philadelphia area, definitely make a visit and schedule time to visit with Dr. Fred if you should get the chance.

He has a library? For Heaven's sake Mark, stop toying with me, details, Dear Friend, details! Never mind the cars, the books, tell me about the books - pretty please.

Honestly, the way the contributors to this forum carries on one would think a mere car matters more than a book. Oh, no wait .............

Thanks
Johan.

PS. I agree, the photos are stunning.

Does he really have a Squire ? Lucky man.The T 35 looks good.Time has obviously passed but not to its detriment. The steel floor is just at the front and has I think been painted silver.I always found these taps a bit untidy even as built by the factory,The top one in particular with its added adaptor for the pipe nut. I dont think this was Ettore's best effort.I like to fit the safety covers on the brake sprockets.

I am serious. Privacy reasons prevent mentioning a name but the owner also owns the Squire Company and everything that is left of it.
