crickey! I think even a Brit would struggle to make a spring as bad as that!

I do not know if this is made or original , but the spring is only 35 mm wide . The holes in the axel allow only 35 mm . And both eyes fit very good . So for the top leaf 35x5 looks not so good .
The reason I did start to ask for springsteel , is the Type 5 .
To use 35x10 in a T13 looks maybe strange , but what about 50x6 in a T5 with over 1000kg ? And Greg , you will love it , this one is made in England . Maybe one of the friends from thingfish with over 50 years Bugatti experience did it ?
The second radiator and the 15liter water tank between the first radiator and the cylinder is still missing . And the top of the spring is already straigt . So with the water tank and the second radiator it will bend up .
I think it is easy to see that this spring is far away from the original .

The mistress spring must resist at the "tranchant effort" (I don't know the exact English name) ! That explain the first solution...

Will you round off the ends nicely? The original seems to have tapered edges, where the replica has square cuts.

every part we make or change will be 100% to the drawing or if there is no drawing like in the fotos we have . For example . I got the cylinders and the top was just machined flat . Spark plugs sitting invisible in deep holes ( I still do not know why). I used fotos to machine the contour on top and bring the spark plugs to the right place .

Doesn't look very original to me. Would you not be better making up a quick pattern and making some castings?
Looks a bit formula One to me.

Was it not the equivilant of a formula one car anyway? Poor Udo had more than enough to do to make this car work, valve housings etc,I think he has done extreemly well.More power to his elbow as we say.

A bit of dirt and usage is what it needs. Especially usage.

So , what about the T13 spring . Is this a original spring ? Top 35x10 , all others 35x6 ?
To me the spring looks OK . And with only 35mm wide , the top one can not be 5 or 6mm . Both eyes fit very good . Anybody can answer it ?

to make new pattern and cast new cylinders is not so easy . This is a complex casting with many cor boxes . The top is not the only problem , this cylinders are also wrong with some dimensions . I do not know why , the side view drawing exist . If I change every part with a mistake , where do I start and where do I stop ? I allready machined , or made new all engine parts . Today the top of the cylinders look not so new any more , it looks very original .And in 1903 , it was a formula 1 car . The plan is to get this one running , and after this one is roadworthy , to build 2 more . I am just looking for a customer for the second one .

I already mentioned that this front spring is not even close to anything Molsheim could have produced. I supplied the exact factory data of the front springs on Tue Nov 9 9:48 pm. Based on that an 'engineer' should be able to draw the proper conclusion.

Bugwrench , I think you better give your advise about what an "engineer should be able" to the Rolls Royce engineers , they need it right now much more !
And thank you for the answer .

You have no idea who Bugwrench really is do you? What is not in doubt is that you are a complete tosser ; even Michael Muller appears vaguely human compared to you. For the sake of the entire Bugatti movement please switch your allegiance to Porsche, you will be much happier in the company of other illiterate buffoons.
