Got this on Email:

where is it now ??

in an article in "the automobile", I found an article by famous british collector, paul foulkes-halbard, about his aquisition of the remains of bugatti tank T 32 # 4o59. he tells the story, that nearly half of the original tank parts had been incorporated in a postwar bugatti special, another quarter of parts were genuine bugatti. he also writes , that the tyres were the original ones from the french GP. as you can see in the pic, a replica body has been made.
but, where is it now ???????

Well, well, well

In 1991/92 there was a Tomkyns ad for Type 32 #4059 the ex. Junek car blah blah, asking just $3.2 mil. USD. And I have absolutely no idea what happened to it after that but would be fascinated to know the rest and exactly what original parts survived, surely if much then this car would have had lots of publicity. I assume this is the car shown on the Wiki pages wearing the same rego the F-H car had and I also see there is a book coming out with more info.

Cheers
Tim

Is that article available? The PDF file has only one page with a picture.

"...that nearly half of the original tank parts had been incorporated in a postwar bugatti special"

See my posting here:
http://www.bugattibuilder.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=648

"No Maserati engine, but a typical 2 litre Bugatti unsupercharged one. If Huber mixed up engine number with chassis number (which afaik has also been stamped to the engines) the engine is from #4059, the T32 tank which had been sold to the Juneks."

The person asking this question is member of this board (hortig78rpm). Why is he not asking directly?

And, I haven't seen any reactions yet, from the question on my site.

I wonder about timms mail due to a tomkyns advert of the T32.
during the mit - late 8o`s some Tomkins often adverted in
" the automobile" dealing with bugatti and amilcar cars.
I`ll try out to reach the son of paul halbard, he is still operating the
" finchley manor motor museum" as far as I know.

regards
mike
