Post subject:  Photo Unidentified Bugatti on eBay

The picture above is offered for sale on ebay (item number 310103083558) It is part of a collection of about 100 old photographs… most of them not car related. The license plate of the car is XR2280 or XR 2280. Does anyone know this car? Pictures probably taken in England. Other pictures are taken around the period of world war 1

A friend has a data base of Bugatti registrations. It does not however include this one. The only other registration he lists beginning with XR is a "Brescia" supplied new by Bradford, UK dealer Sydney Hoyland.
