An airplane enthusiast gave me a photo out of a book he was reading about the German airforce in occupied France. It was a photo of this car and a Cord 810 in the background, that had been commandeerd by some German Airforce men. If I can only remember where it is... |

I seem to remember reading somewhere that this is a T37 fitted with a T35 engine by the Schlumpfs. Damned if I can remember where I read it though ...... could be Wiki, I am just too lazy to look. Thanks for the photo Uwe, I have only ever seen this car photographed from the rear three-quarters, this is the first profile shot. Anyone got a photo taken from the front? I feel a post coming on about all sports bodied T35/37/51s. Including the recreations. Regards Johan |

That car is in the US with a built-up 35T engine. The engine #159 of 37328 is in Europe and currently fitted as a spare in another T37. The Schlumpf car is according to the ABC Register 4872 with engine 163T but with the chassis plate of 37328 fitted. Both cars have a Reinartz Liège Belgium connection. Bugwrench |

Great info, Bugwrench. Seems in the past people did their best to make a nice puzzle from chassis number plates... I guess we will need to shuffle around on the WIKI a bit, and also on the photo server. |

" Over Christmas an edition of the popular TV police drama series "Midsomer Murders" centred on the activities of two characters (strongly reminiscent of old-school UK BOC members) who were importing stolen Grand Prix Bugattis from the continent and "recreating" them. There were several shots of a black "type 51" (maybe Steve Shoosmith's car ?). |

The problem with searching photographs that often I have a visual image of the photograph in my head, but no description at all. And even if I knew that some picture has a T35B on it, then still there are thousands of those.... I believe that some programme has been tried, where photographs are catalogued according to visual similarities, what I heard is that it still is very difficult. |

For now, forget about categorizing according to similarities. I have tried a program to filter out double pictures in the photo database. Easy task, you think... No, it isn't... |
