Indeed no T57S frame, as it should be.

However, I see an ash frame (ok), but also passified screws?

Is this the car being built in Canada chez the Guild of automotive restorers? If so then it should have the special chassis designed for it which is like GP at rear.I.E tapered in like a boat.With the rear springs on outriggers.The petrol tank is also tapered to fit.The drawings are available from the trust so I dont see the problem in doing it right.

The Aerolithe was built on a standard, albeit shortened T57 chassis. I am aware that a great many people believed, and continue to believe that the Aerolithe was mounted on one of the T57S prototype chassis. Not true, please compare photos of the standard Atlantic with photos of the Aerolithe, in particular the distance between the door-hinges, and even to the most casual observe it should be clear that the Aerolithe and the Atlantic are two very different types of car.

Kindly look at that pale blue German attempt to replicate the Aerolithe, every thing is wrong, every perspective out of kilter, proof, if any was needed, that an Aerolithe cannot be replicated on a T57S chassis. I say again, the Aerolithe was built on a standard chassis that had merely been shortened.

All we have to do is wait until David Grainger's team finish their Aerolithe project, built on a standard T57 chassis, to see that the argument I first espoused in my article "From Aerolithe to EXK 6" (homepage of this site) is correct, and that the Bugatti Trust, the B.O.C. and everyone tearing their hair out in the ensuing polemic within the pages of Bugantics were, and are, indeed very, very wrong. Go ahead, disagree with me, and make my keyboard's day.

I don't how to post a pic, sorry... Please see at user album/Gap 05. I make a pic with Aerolithe and 57374... The cars are very similar... Only the front wings are upper on 57374 and the bonnets of the car have the same height... Just more longer on 57374...

Interesting. I am not convinced. The two photos does not seemed to be taken from the exact same angle. But interesting all the same.

Yes, Peter Borstel the owner requested the roof line to be higher, I believe by about 5cm, he also requested the color (should have been either a silver metallic or a metallic light green/blue.
