The car did about four demonstration laps driven by owner Hubert Fabri. After a bit of misfiring on the first lap it ran very cleanly. It carried a UK registration from a series originally issued in Merionethshire, Wales. The black paint is pealing off in places revealing original factory Bugatti blue from the thirties. A shame there were so few spectators at Oulton to see the car and that it came and went to the circuit on a trailer. It reminded me of when Doctor Tony Taylor drove the ex-Hindle type 59 at Oulton Park in the sixties. |

What is the spot on the left side / bottom, where all the paint is gone? Chafing from stones? |

The answer may be found by looking at the proximity of the exhaust pipe? |

The pipe is further backwards as well (but cooler) but also more to the front (and hotter). besides that, it does not really look like heat damage, but more like chafing. |

Does anyone have pictures of the dashboard/instruments? I am particularly interested in the temp guage. |
