Dear all,

I purchased some car parts a long time ago, and I wondered what they were:

Image

Above is a dash support. A fusebox is attached to it. It is a French manufactured fuse box. The part is aluminium, and the sides that sit against the firewall and dash are milled flat (very course milling)

This part is also aluminium, and the number 30008 is stamped into it. About 6mm thick, and flat.

Questions: What car, type and what was the function of the part.

The second part is probably a plate to be mounted on the flywheel housing of an engine. The hole on the site is to mound a starter motor.

Are these supposed to be Bugatti parts? The dashboard support is fairly traditional but I don't recognise it as bugatti. The motor to gearbox plate for that is what it must be is quite amazing with all the holes.I again do not recognise it but if it is Bugatti then it would have to be one of the T252 types.I have just made something very similar for the 4m5 motor.

They are not supposed to be Bugatti, but they could be. They also could not be...

I will also upload some close-ups of the support, and of the stamping.

Where did you get them from? Any info coming from there? (e.g. former Bugatti owner)

No info from there.

The former owner:

"These are some parts that might be Bugatti. The support has a piece of tape which says "Bugatti?" and effectively that is all I know. Give me 15 euro (or so) and I will send them to you."

I got the 2 shown parts, and 3 louvres for a bonnet that can be opened for air flow.
