Post subject:  Short chassis "Brescias".

According to UK BOC President Tony Rippon the long-chassis Brescias make the most delightful touring cars.
He should know - he's been using one for around fifty years !

Some poeple say that it's shame so many have been cut up (or cut down if you wish) to make so-called "type 13 replicas". Lets have a look at the facts.

Off the top of my head, there are at least thirty-nine of these thought to be based on "long" Bugatti chassis frames which started life as type 22, 23. 30. 38 or 40.

Some of these are beautifully crafted cars which are perfectly entitled to be called "replicas", others are horrible lash-ups. Some used abandoned chassis frames, others necessitated chopping-up complete, original cars.

Here is my list. If there are mistakes please let me know as soon as possible. If you know of others, again, please let me know.

981, 1210, CM 1622, 1631, 1654, 1818, 1828, 1958, 1987, 2051, 2133, 2174, 2185, 2207, 2208, 2211, 2260, 2317, 2384, 2442, 2479, 2524, 2534. 2557, 2566, 2687, 2715, 2784, 2849, "BC 004", "BC 042","BC 054", "BC 062" ,"BC 067", plus cars owned by Burgess, Marsh, Ohmann, Pidgeon and another with an unknown owner registered as ENG 949.
