57482 is owned by multiple Pebble Beach winner Sam Mann and he showed this car at the 2003 event. According to Jaap Horst's Bugatti Page the engine is No.13S and the asking price is 175 000 US Dollars. And, so it would seem, the engine is not quite complete.

I wonder how important original components are to Mr. Mann?

Dear Johan:

The 13S ex-57482 engine has already been offered to Sam Mann. As he went to extraordinary lengths to obtain another 57S engine (32SC ex-57561) when he rebuilt 57482, he has (apparently) chosen not to pursue the 13S engine at this time. Perhaps he is letting the eBay marketplace set the price?
