Dunno, I read 57312....

In view of the "confusion" over chassis numbers, should there not be a delay before suggested changes are made to the register so that peoples ideas can be checked ?

I agree, the speed with which Claire's rightful claim to ownership of 57252 was deleted from the Register was nothing short of a disgrace. And the perpetrator of that vicious little act of spite has still not apologised to Claire. Perhaps in future the "Wiki-Gods" could indulge in a spot of fact-checking?

Purely a personal observation : Certain "historians" seem to have no problem treating British and American enthusiasts with utter contempt yet they run like cowards when threatened by a French tax-dodger. I do not understand this grovelling obsequiousness to French Bugatti owners - they want to use their cars, in public, but no-one is allowed to mention their names, and we give in to them like a bunch of eunuchs.

Yet Claire is bluntly told her car is a fake and she gets accused of trying to pass of said fake as genuine. Andrew is told his T37 might be stolen (or he stole his T37 - the language was rambling and the grammar atrocious). When was the last time such refreshing openness was displayed to a Frenchman? The hypocrisy of certain contributors to this forum sickens me.

Johan

I dare to hope that I am not the person concerned with your reproaches.

it is Kees which created confusion for the 57252 It specified before modifying its posts on this forum that they were the 57312.

He recognized, little time after, the 57252 with his body modified.

The modifications on bugattiregister followed this hitch immediately, to be updated.

Made update several times…

Few people contribute to these updates. I think of being the only person who controls all the entries on bugattiregister. It is not always easy with the contributors who erase and refuse the discussion. They do not answer the private messages.

I did not mention you by name Christian yet for someone who claims to be completely blameless in this fiasco you sure do seem defensive.

The photographs say much more than writings.

If Claire had communicated photographs before, there would not have been confusion.

That is valid for all

oh no.... :?

Listen, people. There are lessons to be learnt here.

Kees should do his homework before posting accusations that he cannot defend.
Christian should wait editing the WIKI until the miscommunications and confusion is cleared.
Johan should react less fiercely.

You think? I don't know why you put up with me Herman I really don't. I don't even have the decency to be repentant.
