John, tell us, are the 2 cars so different because one is a type 252, and the other a type 253?

People have been kind enough to say that my car looks nicer ! The truth is that my coachbuilder changed the shape because he said that the original was wrong !!When I got the engine running after 25 years I had only the intention to put it into a chassis [ any chassis ] and try it on the road.It was my girlfriend who asked me to put a body on it so that we could use it.Diana always got her way so I had this body made.If Bugatti had started selling these cars they would have made changes as well. The original Body was only to test the car.I have a second replica which has the T253 motor. This one has the original T252 motor which is half of a T251.Pierre Macoin told me at the weekend that this engine was only ever tested on the testbed not in a car.So my engine is unique. And as people saw at the circuit this week it goes very well indeed. The owner of a certain T35b can confirm this [ I hope it was a PS ! ]
