A type 57 with engine 272 supplied to agent Groslambert on an invoiced dated 26th February 1936. The car was fitted with Ventoux coachwork and sold to a customer named Mathey. Around 1987 the wrecked remains of the car were reportedly found in Germany and imported into the UK by (or for) British motor sport legend John Coombs. The chassis frame and engine were either (a) used as the basis for a type 57S-style special or (b) sold to UK enthusiast Andrew Crisford (see Bugattibuilder website posting from “Lazarus” on 20th January 2010).
