yesterday at a race track near Colmar ( France) a Bugatti 51 had an accident . After 3 times rollover , the driver was dead.

The driver was, I regret to say, Jean-Jacques Strub I presume he was testing his freshly rebuilt engine, now 2.3 litres instead of 2.0 litres before.

Terrible news, and condolences to the family. Does anyone know how it happened? Mechanical failure, or driver error? I am interested for all of us to learn, so we can prevent this from happening to one of us in the future?
