Sems to be a rebuild of the T57S prototype, as you say. The later T57S did not have the tapered chassis towards the rear, the prototype drawing (below) does show the taper, see below;  Below the proposed body for the chassis above.  I have not seen this one before. Does anybody know if any original parts (original chassis, maybe) of this T57S prototype still exist, and if they were used for this car? |

It looks as if one would have manufactured a 57S frame as on the workshop drawing. I assume that the prototype 1935 however only on shortened chassis basedly ...

Dear All: I am somewhere in the background there... The owner is Jim Hull. He bought most of the basis of this car from the late Uwe Hucke quite a few years ago. He states in his story-board that Hucke got the frame from Seyfried... The only number I noted...and it is highly interesting...is the gearbox...no. "20 S"...ex-57385 which disappeared in 1958. Eric Koux's replica of the same car was also under the tent in Monterey. Cheers, Sandy |

Attachment: replica.jpg I suspect that this is absolutely correct.The T45 16 cylinder car at schlumpf's has exactly the same outrigged rear springs,thus losing the benefit of the GP type rear spring mountings on cornering.Je vois que la boite de vitesses c'est 57G le mans,un peu comme mes T73c. |

"the Automobile" had an article on the Aerolithe when it opened at the Paris show a few months ago with chassis drawings etc. I lent it to a french friend along with an Atalanta book-with french translation, but will get it back to refresh again. |
