No, this is not 37228, it is what was then known as '4944', but subsequently revealed to be chassis 4867. Imported into the US in 1957 by Selden Loring, it went through a number of hands, including Bill Leith and Joel Finn. Donald Koleman bought it in 1984 and used it extensively before selling it to Giovanni Stabiumi of Brescia, Italy in 2004. The 2009 Italian Register used this very photo for the page of 4867. CK |
