Atlantic ?

Volkswagen bought a Atlantic . Where is this car today , any info about it ?

it is a Koux-car, on original T57 chassis from 1939.
the car was in Autostadt, Wolfsburg.

I believe the car is at the Bugatti HQ together with the Binder Royale. Interestingly, I read somewhere that they bought the car believing it to be a genuine Atlantic and were dissapointed to learn later on that it was a replica.

That is something I heard as well. Did they already find out that the Binder Royale is a replica as well???

Anyhow, it is a story I cannot believe really.

What I do know, is that in the first few years, financially everything seemed possible at Bugatti, with lots of money spent also on the Molsheim Festival, the Royale and the Atlantic.

I would not be surprised that in this "spending frenzy" the Atlantic would have been bought without much consideration, maybe even without checking the originality...

The car (Aubergine colored) is still with VW but at a workshop, hence another Koux replica (not the property of VW) is currently on display in the Autostadt

I think its more a case Udo, that noone else on this forum is all that bothered were the hell it is.

If you know the chassis number of the Bugatti, you can check on www.bugattiregister.com if it popped up somewhere.

I do not know the chassis number . All I know , Koux made this car and VW bought it .

I saw the car at the workshop and it still belongs to VW.
Period.
