Bugatti made 9 carburetors for the Royale . Why 9 ? Carburators do not get broken , so this carbs are not for spare parts . I think he did plane to build 8 or 9 Royales . In this case he did order 8 or 9 chassis . If all chassis are build in the end , is the question . can someone explain how the carburetor works? and where has the Royale his chassis number ? |

According to David Sewell chassis were normally ordered in multiples of ten. |

I think to order 10 is normal , if you think at all the preparations and the tools you need for making them . go even today with a drawing to a company and order less than 10 , guess what response you get . |

Have you ever driven a carburetted car to know the don't break down? As any mechanical part, they wear and tend to be unable to adjust. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. And what do you mean with "how the carburettor works"? |

I am almost sure that I've driven more cars with carburetors than you. ![]() And I can not remember that I had a break down about a carburetor . |

Lucky you then. I guess it also depends on the mileage you do with it, the carb'd cars I've driven had to make quite a few miles in my hands... |

Hey, easy. In my country we have a saying: "you won't catch flies with vinagre". No need to jump into conclusions just because no one replied yet and for sure if someone starts making judgements on other's knowledge, the other part might not feel like sharing the info if they have it. At least that's what I'd do! Well, I'll write the info I got from a small article I have on the Royale's engine: single custom-made Bugatti Schebler side-draught carburettor, with a single diffuser and two accelerator pumps, with dashboard-mounted tweak controls. Does this suffise? |

15 points for Portugal ! bevor you can share any info , first you need to know it ! to talk about colors and chassis numbers is one thing , to answer technical questions is another one . |
