With regard to the condition of these cars I would put it like this:
41100 - Restored in 1964 at Bugatti. Interior non original, poor quality paintwork. Mechanically repaired in 1990 to running order.
41111 - Fully restored in 1963 by John Griffin and then again for some reason by Harrahs in 1966. Interiour replaced but generally matching original. Paint colour completely non original (should be all black). All done to a very high standard but now in need of refreshing. In running order
41121 - Saved from a junkyard in WW2 and restored and badly modernised immediately post war. Hydraulic brakes fitted (using a brake booster from a Checker cab!) quad carb set up, treadle type throttle pedal, wheel trims to "enhance their appearence" enitre underside and engine painted green (even front axle). Interiour non original, paint colour non original etc. etc. In running order.
41131 - Restored at Bugatti in 1965 in a very slapdash way. Alloy castings simply sprayed silver without masking up for example. Interiour non original, paintwork complete with runs non original (should be dark blue). Engine block cracked during John Shakespear's ownership. Wing line cut away in the 1940's to fit larger tyres. Water pump missing. Non runner.
41141 - Easily the most original car. Interiour original apart from headlining. Non original paint colour - should be black and yellow, repainted in 1952.
41150 - Complete Harrahs restoration just before 41111. Interiour replaced.

In short, considering the impotance and value of these cars, their general condition is quite sad.

I was crawling under 3 original Royales and made fotos from every nut and bolt . Looking for numbers and all kind of info .And I was very surprised about the bad condition . Many places have corrosion and it looks like no paint from new .
