In 2000 the Bugatti Galibier #57415 was removed from a wall of a fort near Dijon where it hung since 1957. Two brothers put the car there in 1957. The last of the two died some months ago. He had three daughters. His name was Glasson or Glacon. I have three questions:
1. Does anyone know the Fort and the adress of it?
2. Does someone knew the late owner?
3. Does someone know one or all three daughters.

The fort seems to be a very particular place. Arnoud and I want to take pictures there in order to write an article about it or even a book.

If someone knows something, please contact me on this forum or directly ard@opdeweegh.eu

I asked him, too. He didn't know either.
But I think I have a lead.

In 2000 there was a Bugattist who bought the #57415. He was brought to the fort of Mr. Glasson by a guy named Henri lalanne.

Who knows Henri Lalanne?

Henri Lalanne is still alive and active in dealing with vintage cars, esspecially Bugattis. It appears that half of the time he lives in Argentine where he has good connections with Pur Sang. In France his reputation leaves something to be desired to put it mildly and it is wellknown that he spent some time inside a french prison. He still advertises in La Vie de l'Auto a.o. with Bugattis.

The buyer of the #57415 had to meet Mr. Lalanne somewhere in a street at the sidewalk. Than they drove together to the fort. The buyer first had to pay, before he could remove the Bugatti - not without danger - from an altitude of 10 meters from the wall of the fort. When down on the ground he was allowed to inspect the Galibier, that had hung there since 1957, with lucifers. I am in contact with the buyer, but unfortunately he doesn't remember the exact place of the fort.

Can you imagine, that we - automotive writers - want to discribe the fort, its history and its contents.

So if anyone can help us ........

The French Bugatticlub knew all the time about the fort, where the #57415 hung at an altitude of 10 meters. So there must be somebody who can help me.

Definately not 10 meters. 4 meters at most.
