I can take one by tomorrow when I lie down under our car. Basically it's rectangular as long as the engine with short cooling fins and it has a capacity of 15 liters of oil. The 57s had dry sump if I'm well informed. The attached picture was from that T57 Galibier that was hanging in that castle near Dijon. I took the picture at the London auction. Greetings: minime

I can't really see any big difference .The 57s sumpf is supposed to be less high compared to the normal one . How much , maybe only some centimeters ? If it is a 57s sump , how can the engine number look ? 5 or 3 numbers ? |

I try to live in the real world and not to dive into the book world . |

But maybe if you spent a bit more time in the book world, you wouldn't have to waste so much "real world" time, by asking such inane questions. |

so in this case , for what is this forum good ? If it is time wasting to ask a question , for what we need a " Bugattibuilder " Forum ? But the best of it , people prefer to answer by email and not to post in the forum . I think a Forum is better compare to books . I ask a question and for example minime shows some fotos and Lazarus helps with a foto from a book . And all benefit from it , and learn something technical from this cars . constructive Bugatti communication |

I think you are right up to a point Udo, but the things that you appear to be embarking on, ie; making Bugatti Royales and Tpe 57s's from the ground up may require a little more research than just asking a few random questions on an internet forum. |

sorry , but I am not stupid enough to build a Bugatti with a Forum . And I am not building any Bugatti . We are busy with the Mercedes SLR project . And a car from 1930 is not realy very difficult specialy a Bugatti . The best source for information and drawings is still Molsheim and around 30 km . |

If you are not building a Bugatti why you ask endless questions on a Bugatti forum. If building a replica 300 SLR ask Mercedes. |
