And just when I thought I had the postwar Bugattis sorted out.....Borrani have identified some ex molsheim aluminium wheel rims as Bugatti type 254.They are currently for sale on ebay.

If you can build Bugattis, publishing a book yourself should not be that difficult. Please put me on your custommers list for one copy....

To my knowledge, no trace of a type 254 drawing is known. So basicly the factory was ordering wheels for a project that was not even on paper yet...

(just a thought)
No drawing, but maybe they had already made a (concept) bill of materials specifying the use of certain "from the standard parts bin" -interchangeable parts ? And already exchanged this info with the supplier ? Before the plug was pulled and/or a technical or design drawing was made.

The T252 uses 17 inch Borrani steel wheels [similar to Facel Vega HK and Facel II]These are K/O wheels with conventional 42MM hubs. Thus 17 inch Borrani wire wheels can be instantly fitted if wirewheels are wanted.I personally believe that Borrani's list should read T252.Car design stopped at T253 and project T451.
