And the airscoops? Too far rearward to lead to the engine; possibly just for the cabin ventilation?

I hope you can close them, for when it rains!

Jaap you could be right; I just recieved 3 more pictures of this car, of which one supports your observation. But the scoop on the left side of the car is positioned further to the front next to the rear of the engine.

It is very probable that the pictures date from after the car was sold to the USA: the earlier French registration 74 CR 24 is removed in this set of (4) pictures.
My guess is the pictures are from the time Joe Loecy owned it.

its clearly already had a hard life in its early years if you look at the front springs they are from 2 different suppliers!

Last Tuesday I emailed the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum for a recent picture of this car. But until now no reaction.

Barttore:

Do not hold your breath; the T35A is in storage, not on display and not easily accessed.

Cheers,

Sandy

I knew that Sandy but hoped they could do me a favour; if it is blocked in a storage facility I can understand (but how terrible for a beautifull car to be out op the public enjoyment :( )

Well... then we have to with the other 3 pictures I recieved. I'll send them to Jaap for his site. Maybe some exposure on his site will stirr some memories of readers of his site.
