Hello everybody!

Two years have passed since I buy this body-coach on " Le Bon Coin ".
Kees Jansen said that this coach (n° 488) was made in summer 1932 by Mr Scholler in the Gangloff factory. In the same time the n° 491, a similar coach, now on the chassis n°40830 (now with Tjerk Stapel in The NetherLand) was made .
My body n°488 is now in restauration before I put it on my 44784 .

I would like to know the story of the Type 40 which carried my coach, and today, I only know that H. Novo had displayed the body from the chassis in the sixties, but nothing about the original chassis( N°, owner...).

You can go on The Internationnal Bugatti Register and have a look to 44784 and then on "Type 40 -7710 BQ 75 -chassis unknown ".
Thanks for any information.
Vive La Marque, Eric LAPORTE.

Thanks to Mr Tunesi who has just found and told me the chassis number of the 40 that carried my coach Gangloff n° 488!
It was indeed a very late type 40 (it was bodied in summer 1932).
Unfortunately it's not registred in wiki, probably because it was sold without any CG, or was transformed in a 37 in the 60 or 70's, as it was frequent at this time...
I' m always interested to find the name of the first owner or any other.

Thanks for any new information
Vive la marque!

Hello,

...Isn't it? And I know now the chassis number of the car when it was complete : it would be 40909! But it need to be proved. Thanks To Mr Tunesi who found it !
But not any other information... So I am always interested in any info about this car to confirm this nb. and precise it's history.

NB: I answered you (in french) by MP to your message about 44784. Thanks.
