Geoff Welcome it's a very quiet site a few of us have multiple cars some have none. What's your interest?

While I do not own a Bugatti, I plan to. However I just can not own a replica, even though I can afford one of those. I like small trinkets as well, so buying parts from a car such as a Voisin, Rolls, Delahaye, or Bug is like artwork to me but without a frame, so I get my hands on what I can. So to answer your question I owned .01% of one. ;)

I would love to own a Bugatti T44 car, one day. I have a 1923 Itala Tipo 50B Tourer restored and a 1903 Peugeot Bebe T54 5HP 2 Seater partly restored. I'm also interested in stationary steam engine's full size. I have a 1911 Belliss and Morcom 36BHP Compound SE and a 1944 Reader Twin Cylinder SE driving a 35.8KVA generator. I also own a 1907 Ericson 5 Inch Hot Air Engine, a 1911 Mason and Porter New Zealand made engine SN: 24, a 1920's Medway Marine Engine and a 1927 Lister "D" Petrol engine.

My next engine project is the 1907 Ericsson Hot Air engine. The photo of the Ericsson, is how I acquired the engine. I bought it in Queensland, Australia for 6,500 Euros, including the freight to Wellington, New Zealand. Regards from Geoff McCarten.

Hi Geoff,
If you get stuck on the hot air engine they have a very similar, if not identical, one in the Faraday Centre, ( the local Technology Museum),in Napier.
It's restored, and working.
As they are a bunch of "shed" blokes they would be more than happy for you to measure it up etc if there any dimensions you are missing.
I believe the bloke who restored it is still around and he gathered up quite a lot of info at the time of restoration about 15 years ago.
As far as I remember they didn't have any extra, or "spare", parts but being a Kiwi I'm sure you'll be able to knock up any missing bits !

Cheers,
Ralph.

Thank you Ralph for the information on the hot air engine. I've seen the museum's engine 2 years ago during a visit there. Regards from Geoff McCarten.
