In what? Buying- no. More info if this is to be the start of your next build: yes! (your questions and comments tend to be so short, that they can be interpretated in more than One way). 57S(C) ? Original ? Crankshaft on the floor in the back and another on the bench.

a Aerolithe replica would be better, it would be the first with a S-chassis, as the original

Post subject:  Re: anybody interested ?

Aerolithe body would be no problem , but I believe the 1938 Atlantic has a bigger market .

Don't you think that the Atlantic has sort of been "done to death?"
I believe Eric koux has made nearly 600 of these so far.
Why don't you make a nice Atalante?
Have you had any thoughts about getting them road registered?

600 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He made 2 with a fiberglass body and Jaguar drivetrain . This 2 do not count at all , fantasy constructions .
2 with aluminium body and some scrap original parts . Many parts are only dummies , because he had no access to get original parts to use or copy it .
Non of his replicas has a 57S front axle or the right shock absorbers and so on .
There is not one real good Atlantic replica in the world .
I don't like to go more into detail , but all this replicas have to many mistakes .
How you got the number 600 ??????????????????????????

"To build a real authentic late 57SC takes a lot of research and time ".

road registration is not a problem for me

Please forgive me,sometimes I am prone to exaggeration.
Erick had a lot of access to the Atlantic when Barry Price owned it.
Not sure how well connected you are with mr Lauren (personally I have a couple of his polo shirts, but that's about it), but I doubt if you will quite enjoy the access that Koux had to the real thing.

I investigated the first and the last Koux Atlantic . And it looks like that I have the better source of information . I think I have almost all I need .

    '57544'-R
'57591'-R (with Fiberglass body, which one is the other Fiberglass?)
    '57654'-R
    '57659'-R
    57733
    57 R Atlantic replica 2
    57 R Atlantic-green
    57 R Atlantic-K57 730
57 R Atlantic-KS 51 680 (with Jaguar engine, which one is the other with Jaguar engine?)

Shouldn't this be in the 'replica' section?

Post subject:  Re: anybody interested ?

All the early ones have a fiberglass body and a Jaguar engine . For example ,
57544 fibreglass and jaguar

Greg , name of the Forum is Bugattibuilder . And I am building something . We can split the Forum to Bugattibuilder and Bugattitalker . The funny part is , it looks like I am the only one who realy does something with bugattis .
