Don't know how well known this clip is. Never heard it mentioned before, hence this post. Brief glimpse (3 secs?) occurs around 24 secs into clip. http://www.movietone.com/ You have to register and the search to find the clip is "olympia motor show". The clip is 3995. Typing in Bugatti gives some cool clips also. Can someone tell me whether this is new info or not? I heard there were only 11 photos. |

Thanks Stuart, I can't wait to get home and give it a try. I've already registered but the fascists who run this university has blocked videos from our work internet. What is this world coming to, when a librarian cannot even waste valuable work time by watching some Bugatti porn? I am beside myself. Johan |

I logged into the site, and they have many very interesting movies. also check 92454, found with search term "bugatti" and see how fast Don Kaye is driving his Bugatti on Brooklands. (also see his fatal crash, unfortunately) |

Wait Herman, are you sure it was Kaye Don who had the fatal crash? I was under the impression that the T54 never claimed any lives at Brooklands, but did kill two drivers at, I think, The Avus Rennen. If memory serve correctly, Don's racing career was ended by his imprisonment on manslaughter charges for the death of his riding mechanic. Some believe he was unfairly punished, while some believed the death of this unfortunate man was due to Don testing the car while drunk. I have seen no proof either way, so I am keeping an open mind. Does anyone know more about this sad affair? Johan |
