Is this the Rotary head engine? 4 cylinders on two crankshafts, set-up in a square, with the head rotating on top of it (Patent applied for by Roland Bugatti). Where is this engine now? |

Udo/Jaap: I see 5 spark plugs in the photo so I would expect not a 4 but an 8 cylinder ? I see no rotating head. Form further observation: this could be a 8/10 cilinder radial engine (2 rows of 4/5) sidevalve Cylinders enclosed in a jacket Pushrods driven by a ring ? Common exhaust Inlet ???? |

I thought it was, on this forum, a Bugatti engine. It must be some kind of swash-plate engine, though I do not know the type. As this seem to be a new quizz: Who does recognize this V20, one center camshaft (automatic inlet) engine?? |

Because this engine is in a big private Bugatti collection , I thought somebody know about it , and maybe it is a Bugatti design .Your 20 cylinder aircraft engine looks very similar to an antoinette engine . I am used to work with this kind of engines . |
