Uwe wrote: ![]() Absolute rubbish of course. No T73A exists nor was one ever made. A T73A would be a T73A engined T 73. The T73A engine was made but never fitted. So no T73A was actually made. The car in the Schlumph museum is a T73 with a T252 engine. The drawing that I showed on my post was made for the modifications necessary to fit the T252 engine into that one single car.Incidentally , 70mm x 70mm , as shown on your specification chart for the bore and stroke of the T73/73c, would give 1077cc. Somewhat odd for a racing car designed for the 1.5 litre formula...and wrong of course. |

It seems very good although a quick glance just now did show up a couple of glaring mistakes. The T251 has twin sparkplugs per cylinder and indeed it was intended to use half of this engine as a sports car engine for the T 252. There is absolutely no connection between the T 73 engine and the T 102. There has never really been any interest from Bugatti people for the postwar cars. Uwe and I are about the only people to have a genuine interest.I will be very interested to see his T 102 when Jens gets it going.I dare say that my own book when and if it ever gets published will have mistakes as well. |

And the Colombo designed type 125? What engine should that have had? I would really support you in writing a book on the post war Bugattis. Lots of interesting stuff, and largely unknown. Only a few books have real information. I'd really like to have a look through all of the drawings you have, for example. And: I know that there is much more of the post war history, information in private collections. |

I suspect that the T251 engine would have found its way into a Muira type Bugatti had circumstances been better for Bugatti. |
