Some folks will take exception to the color and finish treatment of this Type 59 Bugatti. But after talking to the owner at Pebble and his enthusiasm for this racecar, it does have a good "caretaker". (He purchased it supposedly 21+ years ago) I think it looks magnificent to be honest. I will admit to having almost 400 pics of this in digital / 35mm format -- the owner was surprised by my taking all the detail, chassis, engine compartment and under dash photographs -- he said very few people pay attention to those kind of details and was glad to see that someone like me did.

Very true. That is why I like it though. If I wanted a patina'd looking one that is vintage raced and dripping with oil as if it was mid-season at Molsheim -- I'd just look at the one in the race shop currently getting repairs.

it sometimes is better to see an overrestored " mint" car, than those,
which never had patina, but have been restored with " new patina",
as you can see on some T35`s and T37 `s.
