I'm just wondering whether there's been any new developments? I am as mystified as Stevehuckss396, why steal a Bugatti? Surely there are easier profits to be made by stealing modern upmarket cars? I truly hope this has nothing in common with Lord Brocket's little mishap.

Regards
Johan

No news yet from France.

There is little else one can do to sell such a car, apart from beaking it up in parts, and sell those. But then, all parts are numbered, and filed off numbers will always be suspicious. So, almost impossible to sell, except to somebody with a private collection, that is never shown to the world.

So; in case the reader of this is the actual thief: Better to give up, leave the car in some place, and call the owner where to retrieve his car!

Something else has just occurred to me; maybe the motive was personal. I vaguely recall a case of an Austin 7 Sport(?) being stolen from a lock-up in, I think London, and then cut into pieces. This was done out of pure spite and envy; the miscreant was eventually caught and tried but the car was destroyed. Let us pray this Bugatti was stolen purely because of greed, at least that way there is a good chance it will be found intact.

And on the eighth day He wept.
