Not allowed. Except if you are a customer or a future customer.

Bugatti SAS will have his own celebration.....!

The centenary is only - at the present time - with the oldies .

A MUST-SEE
The magical factory tour
Ben Oliver

Bugatti's tiny, ultramodern, clinically clean assembly plant in Molsheim, France, is the only car factory that makes you want to wipe your feet on the way in. In fact, Bugatti would rather you didn't refer to it as a factory at all; it's an atelier, or workshop, if you please. Ettore Bugatti established his car firm here 100 years ago, when the town was part of Germany. The original factory is on the other side of town; the new atelier is on the grounds of Château Saint Jean, which Ettore used as a guest house for his clients and which Volkswagen bought soon after acquiring the rights to Bugatti in 1998.

Working five to a car, twenty-five bilingual technicians take 400 hours to bolt each Veyron together from parts that arrive from around the world - the carbon chassis from Italy, the engine from Germany, the wheels from Italy or Germany, the gearbox from the U.K. It could be done anywhere, but the billionaire owners who arrive by helicopter or private jet to see their cars being built are doubtless wooed a little by the association with the marque's storied history. And Ettore couldn't have guessed how handy his chosen location would turn out to be for the 253-mph hypercar that would bear his name 100 years later; there are rumors of an "accommodation" with the local police, but the unrestricted German autobahns just on the other side of the border are one of the few places on earth where prospective customers might legally experience what a Veyron is capable of.

I had the chance to visit the factory few months ago and it was incredible
It was for my work (professionnal exchanges with my counterpart of Bugatti).

Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to make photos.

I think I'll relate my experience of this visit in a few days on my site.

I would imagine that someone who paid 1.000.000 euros for one of "ONLY" 300 Veyrons,Might be somewhat irritated to see yet more being made. They were sold on exclusivety after all.The factory is OK but I prefer the old one which I got in to see for the 100 ans festival after many years of waiting.Just very special.

Bugatti will never produce more than 300 Veyrons and 150 Grand Sport.
But more exclusiv models of Veyrons and Grand Sport.
You can prefer the oldies but after the death at Blitzheim, I'm afraid that new standards will be made for safety and the oldies will stay only in museum.

I dont think that the sad loss of M.Strub will make any difference to old car racing.Thousands of people die every year in modern super safe cars with every advantage with air bags and crash crumple zones. In comparison there are fairly few fatal accidents in old car racing.Surely the "Grand Sport" is a Veyron? So the promised 300 Veyrons has become 450 Veyrons ? As I said customers were promised exclusivity. It is obvious however that the Veyron is a difficult act to follow....

If you die at the wheel of a classic car, your name will be mentioned in the magazines, newspapers, websites, etc.

If you die in a new car, with best of luck one line will appear inthe local newspaper: "fatal accident occured at crossing. 3 cars involved. Police are investigating".

The assurance is asking the people why he was alowed to have an old car but with a new engine .....It looks like it was not an original car.
Wait and see.
