Autoevolution According to Alasdair Steward, Bugatti’s director of marketing, sales Bugatti is currently developing the 16C Galibier saloon, which will enter limited production in 2013. The model will replace the Veyron and will use a detuned version of the current W16 powerplant, which will deliver around 800 hp. The company only plans to build 300 units of the saloon, which will have a price of $1.34 million. ![]() |

Those automotive resources never stop to amaze, I guess this is news we all have known for quite a time. Few points from me - Galibier seems to enter the production earlier than 2013 and it is not set to replace the Veyron it will be a second model. Its a rumor at this point, but the story of modern Bugatti supercars is not going to end after Veyron ![]() |

On other forum I have read that Bugatti opened reserevations for first 100 cars and they were spoken for in few hours. Do not know the credibility of the information, just thought it is worth to share here. Anyone with knowledge to confirm or to deny? |

You never reserve your Bugatti on a list. Each Galibier (like each Veyron or Grand Sport) will be different ! ![]() |

Rumormill: Production Bugatti Galibier to revive Royale nameplate? With production of the Veyron winding to a close, Bugatti is preparing to move on to the next big thing. That thing, as has oft been reported, is expected to be a production version of the Galibier concept sedan from last year. The latest reports, however, suggest that it won't be called the Galibier when it hits exclusive showrooms, but rather revive the classic Royale nameplate. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Targeted output of 1,000 to 1,500 units In a recent interview with Auto Motor und Sport, Bugatti President Wolfgang Dürheimer revealed some interesting new details about the 2013 Galibier. Crafted to become the "undisputed" leader in the luxury segment, the Galibier will be launched in late 2012 and feature a sixteen-cylinder engine which is rumored to produce 800 PS (588 kW / 789 hp) to 1,000 PS (735 kW / 986 hp). Furthermore, since the vehicle is more practical than the Veyron, Dürheimer estimates the company will be able to sell 1,000 to 1,500 units. Pricing hasn't been set, but the executive hinted the Galibier will cost more than €1,000,000 ($1,440,000 / €875,000). ![]() |

Bugatti Galibier 'significantly altered' AUTOCAR 26 September 2011 The VW Group will decide whether to push ahead development of the Bugatti Galibier before the end of 2011 – but if it does make production it will be significantly altered from the concept car originally displayed. Bugatti boss Wolfgang Durheimer revealed that the Galibier was now “in its second half of the design phase” and added that he expected to present it to the VW Group board before Christmas. “I will suggest we continue development, but there will be some remarkable changes from the original concept,” said Durheimer. “The design will be different, especially from the B-pillar back, the ingress and regress to the rear seats will be improved, as will the legroom and ergonomics, the car will be a little longer, and the power of the engine will be at least four figures.” The changes were instigated following customer clinics with the Galibier, and have been pushed through by Durheimer himself. “Half of Veyron owners have been in the car already,” he said. “You will still recognize the design from the concept, but now this is a design I can be 100% behind.” The Galibier, which draws styling influence from the Veyron but also alludes to the classic Atlantic coupé with a spine running longitudinally over its roof and rear deck, was proposed with a 900bhp, twin-supercharged version of the Veyron’s 987bhp, quad-turbo W16 engine. If it gets the go-ahead it could be on sale as soon as 2013, with a price tag of around £1.5m. ![]() |

Good news this end of the year It's official Bugatti Automobiles SAS has acquired additional land within the new reorganization of the site in Molsheim to produce the future Galibier. A new building should soon see the day. ![]() |
