First of all they haven't been a lot of independent Veyron tests, but it has reached the claimed 0-100km/h time. Where it failed it was due to not perfect road conditions, as they have mentioned. I can not remember wich magazine or maybe tv show.

You are making yourself totally crazy with your doubts.

It's also not possible to rewrite the electronics, to make it more comfortable or sportier, I don't think it exist, because Bugattie has made a car that could be driven by everybody, as they say...So why change it if even a grandmother can drive it...And people who buys this car just want the immense power and easy/sporty driveability

Of course the electronics of the car can be rewrite in the factory, but I agree with your conclusion.

I think you are making yourself crazy with your doubts.

The test with the TUV is OFFICIAL and INDEPENDANT.

You must ask the people of Autocar. They know how to reach the factory dates ( and confirm the TUV ).

Hello members
hello herman please do not be angry but it still do not know how to post my pics that´s why i send links
I must write a homework about the veyron and especially about it´s materials so i really need your help, I still posted a pic where you can see something which seems to be rust on a bugatti veyron. First i thought it was a kind of dirt but then i found another pic of another veyron so this is definitely a shame but what is it? rust from bolts maybe?

No problem about posting pictures.

Basicly it works like this:

[ img ] http: // www.server.com / image.jpg [/img ]

(remove the spaces, i entered those just to show you)

About the brown substance, on the heat shield: I have no idea. Could be oxidation of a substance, used for securing the bolts. (loctite or similar) or could be some oxidation of a spring washer under the bolt. I should really see it live to be sure. Guess what I will do next time I see a Veyron...

hi i asked a motor journalist who told me that these are brand marks from the amazing heat of the engine. Do you think bugatti will repair it and maybe use another material for the heat protection like gold same used in the mclaren f1?
