i also bought it it´s amazing really nice pics
Furthermore i have a very important question maybe you can help me. I read some break test for the veyron and unfortuntely cars like the porsche carrera gt, ferrari 599 gtb or enzo are much better than the veyron form 60-0 and 100-0 i know the airbrake will come out at 120mph but do you know if it´s possible to use the airbrake in handling modus at 60 mph
Do you think with this airbreake the veyron will reach much better results from 60-0?
thanks

Yes , if you are in handling mode, you can use airbrake at 60 mph....the problem is : it's almost useless !!
I mean, at less than 80 km/h, aerodymanic plays a little role, so the airbrake which use aerodynamical effect, don't play much.
Compared to the other car, the Veyron is heavier, so the energy to evacuate is larger (Cinetic energy = 1/2 * Mass * Square (Speed))
But for others xxx to 0, Veyron is the best!

hi
i think there might be problems when you post the complete readabel text but not sure. For the breakes of the veyron the point which really interest me why from 60-0 the veyron needs 103 ft compared with an 599 gtb which needs 105 ft it´s nice but from 100-0 the veyron needs 293 ft the 599 gtb only 287 ft so the breakes of the veyron seem to be not the best ones ever produced. I know the car is much heavyer than a 599 gtb but i think if you need the best break you wont think about the weight of your car?

Weight of the car affects the energy that has to be absorbed by the 3th power.

So if a 599 weighs 1500 kgs, and a Veyron 2000, the brakes are:

1,5*1,5*1,5 = 3,375

2,0*2,0*2,0 = 8

In this example the Veyron brakes are more than twice as effective. However, much depends on the tires as well. Perhaps more.

Hello hermann
Thank you very much for your kind reply there is one thing which really disappointed me as compared and spend some time with braking test i found out that the slr needs from 60-o 103ft from 100-0 287 ft
the veyron against needs 60-0 104 ft and 100-0 293 ft
Test made by motortrend so this really disappointed me as a slr mclaren has a really high weight it´s not so heavy like the veyron but i think maybe 200 kg less so why is the veyron breake nothing so special
Bugatti claimed much but did not allow the press to do comparission against other supercars. Furthermore bugatti claimed the veyron needs 0-62mph 2,5 sec but after reading 5 test there was not only one who reached this time only 2,7 sec so why
I love the car but these are things which disappointed me
thanks

The time the brakes are applied can be a factor as well.

When braking with a normal car, the heat can emerge to roughly 520 degrees C. That is when braking three times in a short time from 120 km/h to 0.

Imagine when braking from 325 to 0. And the same for 400 to 0.

The construction of the car is not special in such a way that is does 400 km/h, but that it can do that relatively safely, and that is is a car that handles more or less like a normal car.

Some american muscle cars have been reported to do 390 km/h, but handling was dramatic, braking performance was poor, etc. The Bugatti does the same, but behaves normally.

But yes, you are right, I know of a guy who went for a testride (with 1,1 m Euro in his pocket) and he felt the car lacked emotion. Instead he bought a Porsche and a Lamborghini. At least he gave me the customer brochure of the Bugatti...
