Following the introduction of the Bugatti Veyron16.4 Grand Sport on the eve of this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, chassis No.one (to be built in Spring 2009) sold for $ 3.19 million at the Pebble Beach Auction presented by Gooding & Company.
The intense back and forth of the bidders for the highly sought after Grand Sport ended with a hammer price of $2.9 million (before buyer’s premium) bringing in $900,000 over the retail price of the car, all of which Bugatti will donate to the Pebble Beach Company Foundation charity.

The open-top Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, assembled by hand at the company’s headquarters in Molsheim, France will be available from March 2009 at the price of 1.4 million € (excluding tax, duties, transportation and PDI).
Just 150 examples will be made with the first 40 of these going exclusively to registered Bugatti customers.

The Mondial de l'Automoble 2008, The Paris Auto Show, is the most important automobiles event, (than more 100 debuta and Europena Premier).
Bugatti SAS had the good idea to submit with Lamborghini, Bentley and the all marks of the VW-Audi group, the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, (last August was present at Pebble Beach Concours 2008).
I can't understand why was not exposed to visitors, perhaps could expose the FBG Hermés, but haven't done ...
somebody knows tell me a valid response?

Thanks

PS: I Never view the Bugatti Veyron, Next 18 October I will go to Paris, but I will not see my dreams car!!!!

hi bugatti91 i was in paris today and sorry bugatti has left the building. Bugatti has no presenation thereß It´s the same like the last german iaa with the pur sang. there was only a little presentation for some invited VIPs and the press but thát´s it. Unfortuntely that´s bugattis way to show the public that they are not welcome to look at there cars. I love the veyron but bugatti should think about the collectors and "normal" people who made bugatti as special at it is

The reason : the Grand Sport is not "green" enough !

I suggest the reason is that this particular car was sold to a private owner in the Pebble Beach
and there is no other Grand Sport in a show-ready state.
If I was the owner, I probably wouldn´t be happy with the car being there
for a couple of days of public "use", too. But that´s just my theory.

hi kato
maybe it´s possible but if you compare it with pagani it´s a joke as normally pagani used only sold cars for motorshows sometimes he also used them for test drives so a good pagani also costs 1 mil euro
thanks
