It’s been known since the outset that production of the Veyron supercar would be limited to just 300 units, and from its early days there has been talk about Bugatti releasing a successor. Last month a leaked memo alleged to be an official document suggested that Bugatti would launch a faster and more powerful version of the Veyron, and now a new report indicates that a brand new model, possibly a high-end saloon, could follow soon after.

Bugatti’s CEO Franz-Josef Paefgen has previously confirmed that a new model is due for launch sometime in 2011 or 2012, and while it was originally thought that it would be a new supercar Automotive News is reporting that it could be a saloon rival for the likes of Rolls Royce and Maybach.

One possibility could see Bugatti team up with fellow Volkswagen Group brand Bentley to co-develop the new model. Bentley is currently working on its next-generation Arnage saloon, and the platform could possibly be modified for use in a Bugatti. There’s even been talk of cross-sharing of the 1,001hp (746kW) 16.4 engine, but officials on both sides have denied this.

Nevertheless, Bugatti has spent hundreds of millions of dollars developing the Veyron’s world beating powertrain and execs would want to recoup some of that investment by launching more variants.

Bugatti Royale to make its debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show

Thanks to one of our trusted sources we were able to find out today that Bugatti is currently planning the return of the Royale (a.k.a. Type 41) flagship sedan. This means that we will see the first Bugatti sedan of the modern era which promises to include the latest technologies available, as well as the powerful engine borrowed from the Veyron.

I am still not sure if this is Royale limousine or this is teaser image of Bugatti's next halo car. The better way to know it is to wait until September :D

Do you think it is photoshop image made by some car resources or it is leaked from Bugatti? There were many rumors about Bugatti will show something next generation this year. So, you think this image has nothing to do with real next halo car from Bugatti?

Fancy a taste of expensive Bordeaux? Well, you won't have long to wait – Bugatti will take the wraps off its much-rumoured four-seater hyper-car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. And here's the first grainy teaser picture.

Until now, the Veyron's more practical brother has been known as the Royale – but we can reveal that the most luxurious and expensive saloon ever will be called the Bordeaux. And, as you can make out from this shadowy image, the Bordeaux will get a shooting brake-style body with striking horse shoe-shaped tailights. It also gets a split rear window, complete with a dramatic central brake light and, of course, a prominent Bugatti badge.

Inside there'll be space for four and although details have yet to be confirmed, the front-engined Bordeaux is expected to share the Veyron’s 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16.


Giving the same 987bhp and 1,250Nm of torque, it should take the car from 0-60mph in three seconds and on to 250mph, making this the world’s fastest four-seater. Inside is the finest leather, suede and metal trim, plus there’s a generous load area.

I just cannot imagine how they will put this monstrous engine in front :o But the idea of fast and luxurious hypercar isnt bad.

But I still want so much Bugatti to make more powerful Veyron, such as rumored before GT or whatever it will be called, to celebrate the Centenaire.
