Great news about new factory. My guess is that we will see another hypercar from Bugatti as a Veyron successor in future. But now I just can not wait for more information about more powerful Veyron, after information that they Bugatti could do some upgrades to Veyron, presentation of such version is very likely to happen.

Member Pur Sang posted very interesting Autocar article - interview with VW chairman Martin Winterkorn, when he was asked about future of Bugatti and told very interesting thing about Bugatti future and exactly about Veyron:

But in any case there are still things we can do with the Veyron to keep it going - some improvements, some refinements.

These words sound like a some sort of confirmation that more potent and upgraded version of Veyron could be presented soon. Could it be Grand Prix? Could it happen at this Geneva auto show? Any thoughts?

Expending factory is expected in Molsheim. But depending of the economic situation.

^^^ Amazing news about factory expansion. If the Galibier will go into production together with remaing production of Grand Sport Veyron fand with possible production of Grand Prix Veyron, factory expansion will be a kind of must do to build them both.

Speaking about Grand Prix/GT version of Veyron. I have heard recently that such version could come to the market early next year when the production of Veyron coupe will be finished. It will be more powerful - about 1200 hp, lighter - some 200 kg of weight less, with flex-fuel capability, body will be made of bare carbon fiber. Expect some changes in drivetrain and aerodynamics to handle with increased power and topspeed, which is rumored to be about 420/425 km/h. I am full of excitement after I have heard this. Anyone to cofirm of to deny this information?

Can I ask you for clarification please? Your post sounds strange, so there will be no other more powerful version of Veyron at all or there will be no names GT or Grand Prix?

My advice would be not to put high hopes on Paris auto show, VAG Group completed the registration for Paris Mondial de l'Automobile 2010 and there is no stand for Bugatti, so we can expect only something not rather important to be shown only at VAG premiere night, like it was in Paris 2008 where GS was shown and in Frankfurt 2009 where Sang Bleu was shown.

Latest information is that such version will likely come, but not so fast and will not feature GT or GP name. Also, nothing is confirmed officially of course.
