I recall having seen a movie (or documentary), in which a racing driver burnt himself badly on the exhaust. Some time after that, this man died due to blood poisoning.

After a lot of searching revealed that the driver is Henry Birkin:

I presume that in that movie, some Bugattis must have been visible. Anyone knows this movie, or even have it?

I will check around to see if someone has ARTE in my neighbourhood. I recall having seen ARTE once or twice. No big hope anyway...

Perhaps a German forum visitor?

I read from a critics' site that the movie is all surface, as is the car, I'm afraid....

Nice costumes, but why not using an original car?

Positive side is that nobody needs to be searching for hours which is the chassis number.

Oh, er, ehm..... 'Fraid I might have been responsible for that one. I was paid to find a Teal Bugatti, fit some wire wheels and Blockley Tyres on it and give it a lick of paint. What can I say? I was at a loose end and needed some work. Had to make a two foot long fully animatronic Sea bass for the same film which was a great deal more realistic however.
The power of the internet never ceases to amaze me though; how does a photo that I took of the car on my driveway find its way on to the web?

It leaked... Via the WIKI...

Yes, sometimes it IS amazing. Anyhow, that is what was ordered, that is what you delivered. Nothing bad about it.

You should have insisted on them using a genuine Bugatti!

I found the picture on your driveway by a simple search "Hemingways Garden of Eden", and then proceed to images.. No Wiki, No leak.....
