Post subject:  Unknown 3-wheeler
I wonder if anyone knows just what this is? does it have a type number? and was only this one made?why was it a failure? Does anyone recognise this part of the factory? does anyone have other photos of the factory or of this car?

OTI 125?

Does not really look like it, but perhaps a pre-decessor.

Pretty impressive steel construction. Judging from that it could be a heavy-hauler...

OH ! Herman I thought you would know this car !It is certainly not unknown :P :P :P :idea: The engine is a 125cc single cylinder Gnome et rhone motocycle engine.Air cooled.So the 125 is right but what does OTI stand for? Orrible ? Tiny? Insect? lol

the chassis tubes look like the steel tube they had for the T252/3 chassis.Perhaps they had a lot left over?

This must be the OTI (Office Technique Industriale) or something like that, based from I believe the old Bugatti factory in Bordeaux. This OTI has direct drive on the front wheel, so this must be correct.

One example of the OTI still exists.

Very interesting photograph this is, never saw anything like it!

This was made at Molsheim and if you look at the driver he will be familiar! He is the same tester in the T253.So where is the existing 125 OTI ? The other driver is not Brigitte Bardot !

These two photos are of the two quite different T251 cars at Schlumpf's.They show the steering arrangements of the two cars.The later car has a steering box of more or less conventional Bugatti type.[ part number 251 DIR 31 ] The earlier car [ the mule ] has a strange arrangement with a worm and nut.almost like a childs pedal car ! Can anyone add anything to this ?

Almost everything is known about the T35 yet almost nothing about the last GP Bugatti.There is a well known Bugatti restorer in France who believes that three T251's were made in total.I have spent the past couple of days washing the patterns for the T73/73c and dipping them in a rather unpleasant anti woodworm treatment!

I realised that as well.

So much is known about the pre-war period, but the post-war period is a mystery at times...

Be careful with the woodworm treatment. It does not kill worms only...
